Willimantic Fire 17 Clark St

Firefighter makes a save from a third floor window with a 24 foot ladder.


The room the man was in went up in flames 1-2 minutes after he got out.


Fire broke out at about 3:13 p.m. and went to a second and a third alarm in minutes.


Fire spread through the 1900's building in minutes and spreads to the next door building on Union St which caused smoke and fire damage.


Firefighters from North Windham working to bring big water to the scene with two big deck guns and hand lines.


The big deck gun can pump out about 1500 gallons per minute if needed. Engine Tanker 102 from North Windham grabs a hydrant on Main St and puts down 300ft of 5" hose to the scene.
