VAN FIRE DRILL

A working van fire at the fire house. The Engine Tanker was started from down the road with a crew of five and a driver. The crew was started to do extrication and this is what they came up on.

The Engine Tanker crew had to get there SCBA's on now that the job at hand had changed. The crew went to work, they pulled the bumper line on the ET, 150 FT of 1 3/4" pre-connect with a fog nozzle.

All the members had a turn on the nozzle and on the back up crew. The crew was instructed on a safe attack and safety issues to look for as they got near the van.

THE PASSING

VAN FIRE AT THE HEIGHTS


AN EARLY MORNING VAN FIRE AT WINDHAM HEIGHTS STARTED IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. CAR 202 WAS THE FIRST TO ARRIVE ON SCENE TO CONFIRM A WORKING VAN FIRE. THE ENGINE TANK GOT THERE JUST BEHIND ME AS FIRE WAS SOARING ABOUT 15-20 FEET IN THE AIR.

THERE WERE POWER LINES ABOVE THE VAN- THAT'S NOT TOO GOOD.
